ICE makes its Darmstadt debut, playing two spectacular concerts featuring classic works from ICE's repertoire as well as new works by young New York composers Peter Evans, Jason Eckardt, Nathan Davis and Du Yun, under the baton of Steven Schick. ICE is then paired with the legendary ensemble recherche on a mixed program featuring works by Darmstadt alumni Iannis Xenakis and Earle Brown.

The evening will feature the world-premiere performance of Gramercy Bells, a mysterious and breathtaking site-specific composition by ICE's own Nathan Davis. ICE's trumpetist Gareth Flowers will set the ambiance as DJ.
