Habib Azar, stage and television director
Claire and Habib are currently working on an evening-length one-woman show called GASP which features performances of solo flute works with live and pre-recorded films. GASP will premiere in January 2012 in New York City, after workshops at Brooklyn Technical College.
Habib Azar’s Emmy Award winning career has spanned almost every medium imaginable. In addition to numerous plays including the premiere of Kyle Jarrow’s Gorilla Man, Habib has directed As the World Turns, The Young and the Restless, web-casts for Live From Lincoln Center including performances by the NY Philharmonic, and contemporary operas around the world. His first feature film Armless premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and was recently released by Vanguard Films.
