Solo Projects

Claire Chase has released twelve critically-acclaimed solo albums and more than two dozen collaborative recordings on labels including Nonesuch Records, Kairos, Bridge Records, Naxos Records, Tzadik Records, Denovali Records, New Focus Recordings, and BIS Records. Spanning solo repertoire to large-scale collaborations, her discography documents a singular commitment to pushing the boundaries of new music. Central to this is Density 2036, Chase’s 24-year initiative to commission and premiere an entirely new body of work for the flute through the year 2036, for which she has released the world premiere recordings from each annual cycle. Her most recent recording, Terry Riley’s The Holy Liftoff, featuring the JACK Quartet, will be available everywhere in July 2026.

 

Collaborative Projects

Claire’s collaborative recording projects have been released on Tzadik, Nonesuch, BIS, Bridge, Denovali, Naxos, Kairos, and New Focus Recordings, and feature collaborations with ensembles, orchestras, and a wide range of collaborating artists.
